GENERAL
Q. What does the term "Bite Size" mean?
A. The term "bite-size" refers to a tiny morsel of food that can be eaten in just one bite. Here at Bite Size Jewelry, the term is used to indicate a "tiny" piece of jewelry, such as a charm or pendant which is typically less than an inch in size.
Q. What makes your jewelry different?
A. All of our jewelry pieces adhere to a strict 4-point grading system which determines individual product quality, beauty & attention to detail. If we wouldn't wear it, you won't find it in our store! Please visit our 'About Us' page to see the Bite Size Difference.
Q. Who owns Bite Size Jewelry?
A. We are a family-owned & operated company based in Oviedo, FL. The "big chief" is a WAH (work-at-home) mom of two rambunctious boys & owner of a freelance graphics design studio called LG Design & Clipart Studio.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Q. Is your jewelry Nickel & Lead free?
A. Yes, our .925 Sterling Silver Jewelry conforms to International, European & American legislation regarding lead, nickel & heavy metal content.
Q. What is E-coating?
A. E-coating, also known as electro-coating or electro deposition, is a method that uses electrical current to coat a metal surface with an organic lacquer, covering every nook and cranny on the jewelry with an even and consistent protective coat. This coat protects the sterling silver used to create the jewelry. E-coated jewelry isn't as shiny as rhodium plated pieces and has a warmer tone in color, but it lets the natural beauty of the sterling silver come through without fear of damage.
Q. What is Rhodium Plating?
A. Rhodium comes from the Platinum family of precious metals & is one of the rarest elements on earth. 'Plating' is a special process that gives silver jewelry a vibrant, deep look while providing a protective top-coat. It makes jewelry appear brighter, richer & more lustrous. Simply stated, a Rhodium plated finish looks so good that many times it leads many people to mistake Rhodium plated silver for white gold. Rhodium is very hard, durable & scratch resistant.

A. Currently, new items are added as they become available, but our goal is to introduce new inventory at least two times a month, while offering additional customer incentives such as introductory sale prices.
Q. You're sold out. Can I request it?
A. Yes! While our strict selection process greatly limits the amount of products featured in our store, we are still able to accommodate most special item requests. Please contact us for more information.

JEWELRY CARE GUIDE
Q. How do I care for my sterling silver?
A. Silver oxidizes with time, exposure to air & chemicals, but properly maintained silver jewelry will improve with age, developing a lush patina.
To care for your 'bite-size' jewel, store silver in a cool, dry place (preferably inside a re-sealable plastic bag or wrapped inside a soft piece of cloth). This extra protection slows down the tarnishing process & helps prevent scratching.
Do not expose your silver to chlorine, sulfur or household cleaning supplies as they can erode the quality & sheen of the silver. Never use liquid or paste silver cleaners on your jewelry. To clean, use a soft silver polishing cloth & buff gently.
